Mount Kinabalu (Malay: Gunung Kinabalu) is a mountain in Sabah, Malaysia on Borneo Island. It is protected as Kinabalu Park, a World Heritage Site. Kinabalu is the highest peak in Borneo’s Crocker Range and is the highest mountain in the Malay Archipelago as well as the highest mountain in Malaysia. Mount Kinabalu is also the 20th most prominent mountain in the world by topographic prominence.

Route Plan

Itinerary

Day 1
Departure from Bangalore

Day 2
Arrival at Kota Kinbalu city.

Move to Poring Hot Springs via Nabalu Market.

Day 3

  • Move to Tempohon Gate. Start the trek.
  • Reach Laban Rata and stay overnight.

Day 4

  • Summit push to Low’s Peak (Summit of Mt Kinabalu). Return to Tempohon Gate.
  • Move to Kota Kinabalu city by bus

Day 5
Reserve day.

Day 6
Departure from Mt Kinabalu. Arrival at Bangalore

Seamless communication: Participants will be able to speak to their parents for most of the duration except a few hours of summit push.
